Ragewar is a band highly influenced by the insane society in which we all live. The nine songs on this debut release all pack a political message. The song titles reveal all: "Dare to Care", "Thought Crime" and "Equality". The music is a mixture of styles, mostly metal and punk transposed over techno. It's the most political dance album I've heard in a long time. Band founders Barrie Bardoe and Eleanor Bardoe insist their lyrics are not just idle rhetoric but based on real experiences as activists. As they say, Ragewar is not content to just rewrite Clash albums. This is an interesting album, but I reckon these guys would be better live.
