Thousands of students abandon school to protest for Palestine

Our group from Preston High was just one from more than 20 schools who attended the School Strike for Palestine on November 23.

Most came from Melbourne’s west, north and central suburbs.

As many as 3000 students and teachers abandoned school — against the Victorian government’s directive — to publicly criticise Israel’s actions in occupied Palestine.

Victoria Police said there were 500 of us, but that is untrue, as you can see from our photos.
