Why

Trade unionists in Australia have a long and proud history of standing in solidarity with the oppressed around the world.

From the struggle against Apartheid, to refusing to transport pig iron to imperial Japan, to imposing work bans on Dutch shipping to support the Indonesian independence struggle, Australian workers have repeatedly shown their commitment to international solidarity.

This commitment lives on today, as unionists across the country organise and take action in support of the Palestinian people, opposing Israel's genocidal occupation and Australia's continued complicity in it.

We know, just like when we fight in the workplace, that our strength lies in our numbers, solidarity, and ability to act as one. With this collective strength, we can build union international solidarity to end Australia's support for Israel.

We are asking you to join us as we organise for a lasting ceasefire and the end of the occupation. Get involved and help build the unionist movement for a free Palestine!
