Issue

The following announcement, headed "Towards a united demonstration on October 25", was posted to several email lists operated by United For Peace and Justice on August 28. UFPJ is the broadest of the anti-war coalitions in the United States. It will also appear on the UFPJ web site (<http://www.unitedforpeace.org>).

"The national steering committee of United for Peace and Justice has agreed to join [the International Act Now to Stop War and End Racism coalition] as co-sponsors of the October 25 March on the Pentagon in Washington DC to demand an End to the US occupation of Iraq. We are committed to involve all anti-war groups and people in this important event, and hope that you will join us in Washington or organise local actions on that day. UFPJ will provide more information and updates in the coming weeks."
