Why

Join one of the founding members Zachary Doney in conversation with a RAHU member for a collaborative session on how to build renters power through rank & file collective organising.

When the pandemic hit, the core need for a safe and stable home became more prescient than ever, and alongside organisers across the continent, RAHU founding members began organising in the global rent strike movement, with local renters voting to unionise RAHU in May 2020.

Since formation, RAHU has grown to be the largest renters union in Australia. RAHU won back more than $146,000 for its members, secured state wide protections and rent relief, training and outreach for tenancy rights, and direct action and eviction defense for safe and stable homes for all.

Zachary Doney is the first elected General Branch Delegate of the Renters And Housing Union.  Zachary is a lifelong renter, rank-and-file unionist and is currently studying nursing.

As always, there’s no need to RSVP, the MFU is free and open to all (including kids!)
