Roaming in the Gloaming
(For Pauline Hanson MP)

They live in the gloaming,
in the shadow of the
Land of the Leal.
Half people
for whom the sun
shines not.
For them our world
is threat and fear ...
They fret and fume
picking the scabs off
this and that.
Diversity and difference
they disembrace,
people of colour
they despise and decry.
They themselves
lack all vivid hues,
the vision human
eludes them —
dull thoughts,
dull people,
dull lives
and if
they prevail
dull and dangerous world...
