Renowned British film director Ken Loach has signed the call to Boycott Turkish Government Sponsored Academic and Cultural Institutions.

Loach was approached by members of Peace in Kurdistan Campaign at the premiere of his latest film, Sorry, I Missed You, and asked to sign the call.

In a message endorsing the campaign Loach said: "I’m very pleased to sign the call for a cultural and academic boycott".

Last year Loach sent greetings and a letter of support to the Kobane International Film Festival.
