Why

Despite the International Court of Justice’s interim orders calling on Israeli to prevent acts of genocide and allow humanitarian aid, Israel’s offensive in Gaza remains unrelenting. Bombing and sniper attacks have intensified in the south of Gaza, targeting Khan Younis and Rafah, where hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from the north have sought refuge, many living in squalid refugee camps. Since October 7, nearly 30,000 deaths have been recorded in Gaza (a third being children) and 65,000 Palestinians injured. Many more deaths are likely to arise from hunger and disease.

This humanitarian catastrophe is compounded by the suspension of funding to UNRWA - the United Nations aid agency in Palestine - by the Australian, US, UK and several European governments on the spurious grounds that a small number of its 30,000 staff were involved in the 7 October attack. We will rally at 4pm and march at 415pm, stopping at businesses that profit from the Israeli occupation.
