After almost a year of genocide in Gaza, in which over 40, 000 Palestinians have been murdered, Israel has now launched a series of aggressions against its regional enemies. It has bombed Lebanon and is now launching a ground invasion. Sites in Syria and Yemen have also been attacked. Millions of people in Lebanon have been displaced and thousands killed. All of this has been done with US support. Iran has now responded militarily but we should be under no illusions that Israel is the aggressor.
Friends of Palestine WA has called a snap action this Saturday at 4pm. We demand an immediate end to the genocide in Palestine, Israel’s aggression regionally and for our government to break all military, political and economic ties with the Israeli terrorist regime.
We are also determined to mobilise, despite both Labor and Liberal politicians attempts to criminalise elements of the pro Palestine movement. We see this as a major distraction from the genocide and Israel’s war. We also understand that they are trying to intimidate people out of our democratic right to protest. We refuse and will see you on the streets at 4pm this Saturday at Forrest Place.
