About 30 local residents and housing activists gathered outside the Selwyn Street, Paddington boarding houses on January 31 to protest the eviction of 32 older men.

The event, organised by Action for Public Housing, was held close to the boarding houses at Josephson Street Reserve.

The group resolved to hold a free dinner for the tenants there on February 7, and a march the following week.

Free food was provided and tenants and activists discussed the next steps in the campaign to save their homes.
