Jewish voices support Arab revolts

Jewish Voices for Peace and Justice NSW released a “statement in support of the people of the Arab nations” on March 11.

The statement said: “We at Jewish Voices for Peace and Justice are deeply inspired by the people of the Arab nations, in their struggle for democracy and freedom as they rise to decide their own future, defying regimes that have for too long subjugated them.

“We deeply respect their courage in peacefully standing up to governments that have not hesitated to respond to dissent with extreme violence. We stand in solidarity with their patience and resolve, and we grieve the killing and wounding of so many of these courageous demonstrators.

“Our tradition teaches us to support all people in their pursuit of freedom and justice. Given the history of persecution and genocide Jews have survived, we understand the uneasiness that some Jews and Israelis feel at the prospect of unknown outcomes of revolutions among Israel’s neighbours.

“We believe the uprisings are cause for hope, that our brothers and sisters may be able to form and live in stable, open societies. And we look forward to a time when peace comes to the Middle East, and all its people are free.”

This article is implying that the Jewish community are backward thinking and in generally don't support the Arab revolutions. But I guess I shouldn't expect anything different from the greenleft community. They don't ever bother to engage with the main stream Jewish community and treat them as conservative criminals because they support a democratic Jewish state in the midle east. Almost all of the Jewish community are supportive of the revolutions. The community are just abrahensive about what will happen in Egypt now. The Muslim Brotherhood are very popular there, and if they seize power there will be yet another Islamist terror group on the doorstep of Israel threatening it's security and legitimacy. As for Libya the Jewish community and Israel have been calling for the removal of Gahdfi for decades while the left have been treating his a hero of socialist values.
IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE DOWNFALL OF ANY MIDDLE EAST COUNTRY, THEN, YOU WILL BACK THESE CIVIL WARS TAKING PLACE. IT WILL KILL MANY THOUSANDS AND THE COUNTRIES WILL BE DESTROYED. IT HAS BEEN A HUGE MISTAKE FOR U.S AND OTHER COUNTRIES TO BECOME INVOLVED IN THIS CIVIL WAR IN LIBYA. WE HAVE NO IDEA WHO THESE REBELS ARE NOR DO WE KNOW WHY THEY ARE FIGHTING. WHAT U. S. SHOULD BE DOING IS TO TRY TO GET A PEACE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE TWO GROUPS. IF WE CONTINUE DOWN THIS ROAD OF BOMBING MILITARY EQUIPEMENT, BUILDINGS, AND GADHFI'S HOMES, THEN, WE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MANY NEEDLESS DEATHS IN THAT COUNTRY. THE LATEST NEWS IS THAT WE ARE SENDING THE CIA TO LIBYA, SO, THEY CAN TARGET THE SPOTS THAT WE SHOULD BOMB. HOW CRAZY CAN WE GET? IF WE WISH TO BE AN HUMANITARIAN, THEN, STOP ISRAEL FROM THEIR AGGRESSION INTO PALESTINIAN LAND AND THEIR BOMBING AND KILLING OF INNOCENT PEOPLE.
