The Indians, who had suffered complete defeat at the hands of the US army, now performed the Ghost Dance, a ceremony which they believed would bring back the buffalo and restore the dreams that had been trampled in the bloody snow of Wounded Knee. Shackled Children — At least 200 million children from the ages of four to 15 work throughout the world, according to International Labour office statistics. This program examines the plight of the children who are exploited as a source of cheap labour, often working in dangerous and unhealthy conditions. SBS, Sunday, April 20, 11pm.

Inside God's Bunker — On February 25, 1994, Baruch Goldstein of the ultra-Zionist Kach organisation carried out a massacre of Palestinians at prayer at a mosque in the occupied West Bank town of Hebron. This program captures the events leading up to this bloody incident. SBS, Sunday, April 20, midnight.

Australian Biography: Gordon Hayes — US-born Hayes Gordon came to Australia after being black listed during the McCarthy era and as well as becoming one of Australia's most respected actors, founded the Ensemble Theatre in 1958. SBS, Tuesday, April 22, 2.30pm.

Outnumbered — This doco follows reluctant Labor leader John Brumby as he fights his first election campaign against Liberal Jeff Kennett. ABC TV, Tuesday, April 22, 8.30pm.

The Bible of the Bullet — A revealing documentary about the dark side of Mexico's free trade. It illustrates the pervasiveness of the power of drug traffickers in Mexico, and explores the assassinations of Archbishop Juan Posados Ocampo and presidential candidate Luis Donaldo Colosia. SBS, Tuesday, April 22, 8.30pm.

Australian Biography: Veronica Brady — Veronica Brady was one of the first nuns to teach in a university, broadcast on radio and join in political debate, speaking out about the Vatican's stance on abortion, homosexuality and contraception. She campaigned for Aboriginal land rights and against the US-backed destabilisation of Central America. SBS, Wednesday, April 23, 2.30pm.

The Wilderness Years: Enter the Rose — In this comprehensive and continuing saga of the years of opposition of the British Labour Party, the focus is on the rise of Neil Kinnock as Labour Leader in 1983, and his attempt to purge the party of the left and water down its links with the trade unions. SBS, Thursday, April 24, 8.30pm.

Movie: The Shadow Army (1969) — Jean-Pierre Melville's remarkable film about the Resistance in Lyons during World War II. SBS, Thursday, April 24, 11.10pm.
