No Fracking WAy held its first rally against fracking and unconventional gas extraction in the state on April 21. The demand was for a moratorium on unconventional gas until it could be proven safe for human health and the environment.

Refugee rights activists scaled the fence of the Leonora detention centre on the night of January 28 to communicate with refugees inside and protest against the mandatory detention of asylum seekers.
The activists chanted for the freedom of refugees and threw tennis balls over the fence.
Protesters gathered outside the Japanese consulate in Perth on January 9 to demand the Japanese whaling ship Shonan Maru #2 release Australian anti-whaling activists Geoffrey Tuxworth, Simon Peterffy and Glen Pendlebury.

A group of freedom of speech activists rallied to defend wikileaks. The rally is in response to attacks made on wikileaks and key people involved in it by various government organisations around the world, especially America (where some senior politicians have called for him to assassinated) and also Australia.
Members of Defend WikiLeaks Perth organised a series of banner drops across the city on May 26 to call for the release from prison of US private Bradley Manning.
Action outside state parliament called by homeless people of WA, in particular Corey Wilkinson a homeless man who has tried repeatedly to speak to Troy Buswell the housing minster, even chaining himself outside his office and Buswell is refusing to meet with him and any other homeless people.
Rally in Perth to defend wikielaks, support Julian Assange and free Bradley Manning.
